StopGap Foundation is a Toronto-based Canadian charity that works to make our communities more connected through influencing policy change, offering free educational programming in elementary schools, and actually removing access barriers to single-step entryways all over Canada.
StopGap is looking for a Toronto-based builder to construct lightweight deployable wooden ramps for single-step entryways, per the organization’s specifications. Average ramp size is 34″W x 36″L x 6″H and weighs approximately 20 lbs.
The builder is to have Commercial Liability Insurance and is willing to enter a service agreement outlining the specific terms of engagement. In general, the nature of the work is on an as-needed basis, typically in batches of 12-15 ramps per month, at $75 per ramp plus materials reimbursement. The builder is responsible for obtaining the materials, must have their own tools and space to build ramps, and be able to deliver the completed ramps (paint-ready) to StopGap’s office location at 192 Spadina Ave.
If this type of work interests you and you would like to learn more about it and the organization, please reach out to Elise Klesmer via email at elise@stopgap.ca.
