Motion Passed by City Council!!

We have some incredibly exciting news to share on this Thanksgiving weekend holiday Monday, it goes really well with pumpkin pie… oh soooooo sweet!

Last week Toronto City Council passed a motion supporting the StopGap initiative, it was past on Wednesday in a unanimous vote. The motion was proposed by Ward 10 Councillor James Pasternak and seconded by Councillor Adam Vaughan.

We haven’t quite learned what this entirely means at the moment but we do know that the matter has been sent to the Disability Issues Committee so they can identify ways that StopGap can be incorporated into strategies related to the implementation of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.

We plan on meeting with both councillors and the Disability Issues Committee in the near future and will keep everyone posted on what transpires! With hopes we will start to see new legislation implemented that will ease/ amend current building code and bylaws.
