Hello StopGap family!
After much discussion internally and with our extended community, we have decided to forgo our deeply missed in-person fundraising event once again this year. Instead, we are excited to share that after a two-year hiatus, a version of our beloved Ramp Up IS happening, with a focus on our iconic art ramp auction!
Ramp Up 2022 will feature the incredible artistic contributions of 23 local artists – all on ramp-shaped canvases. Our Toronto followers will be able to view the art ramps in person, thanks to Tangled Art & Disability’s generous offer to use their gallery space. Each piece will be on display from December 14th to 17th and online bidding will take place from December 12th to 17th.
Here’s how it works…
In the neighbourhood and interested in visiting the gallery in person? The one-of-a-kind pieces will be on display for viewing during the following gallery hours:
Wednesday, December 14 from 12 – 7 pm*
Thursday, December 15 from 12 – 5 pm
Friday, December 16 from 12 – 4:30 pm
Saturday, December 17 from 12 – 5 pm
*Between 6-7 pm, please enter from the building entrance near Spadina Ave, next to Mama’s Pizza, which leads to the ground level of 401 Richmond. The other entrance near Peter and Richmond St will be closed after 6 pm.
Come by on opening day, December 14th, between 4 – 7 pm to say hello to the StopGap staff team, Luke and Velanie!
Tangled Art Gallery is located at 401 Richmond St. W, S-124, in Toronto.
Click here for detailed instructions on how to find the gallery within the 401 Richmond building.
All bidding will take place online. Stay tuned for the link to the online art ramp auction which we’ll be sharing on Monday next week!
Winning bidders will acquire a beautiful piece of original artwork while contributing to StopGap’s important awareness-raising work in communities all over Canada.
In gratitude,
StopGap Foundation staff and board members
